Heatwaves started quite early this year! Looking back to the beginning of the meteorological summer period, following a relatively cool spring, The first heatwave was forecast as early as 11 June. The summer has been especiallly warm so far and many regions of Europe have suffered recurring and prolonged heatwaves. It is quite evident that climate change is escalating and that we must take measures to offset climate change and adapt to some of the effects that will inevitably not subside.
